We almost stumbled onto a money-making secret.

A couple of neighbors in our small town have told us about how easily they make good money selling items on eBay--
items that they can't sell in our area. You see, there just aren't enough people around locally for them to make steady money from a storefront.

But by selling on eBay they can reach a nationwide audience of millions.

One neighbor sells antiques right from her home. When she posts her pieces for auction on eBay she always reaches someone-- somewhere-- who wants that particular item.

And here's the most important part: she always sells the items for more on eBay than she could ever get locally!

Believe it: somewhere there's someone who will buy your great grandfather's old snowshoes. And you can connect with them through eBay.

Another neighbor sells used paperback books. She said that sometimes she has titles that won't sell around here but she can usually sell them on eBay-- and again, for more than she could ever sell them for around here.

You probably have unwanted items laying around your house right now that you could convert to cash on eBay.

And then, in my own experience, I was looking for a used 35mm camera lens on eBay. I noticed that the 50mm lenses for my camera sold quickly. (On eBay you place items up for bids. The bidding is open for several days, but you can opt to sell the item immediately when a minimum price you want is met by a bidder.)

I noticed that the lenses often sold for a higher price than I thought they should be worth. Then when I found a couple of comparable lenses in area camera shops they were 40% cheaper than on eBay.

So, once more, proof that you can sell items on eBay often for prices more than you can get locally. And certainly for more than the giveaway price you'd sell it for in a garage sale!

I could almost kick myself when I think of the items we've almost given away in yard sales.

All of us have unused or unwanted items laying around our homes that can be sold on eBay. Often we've forgotten we even have them. You can turn those discards into cash on eBay. We've provided a link to eBay so that you can get started!
